Konstanz – Bad Wurzach, 60km

The day promised to be nice when we went to Friedrichshafen by catamaran.

We knew it was going to be a bit of a climb from Lake Constance into the Allgäu, but we hadn’t expected the wind to be in our faces again… Here you can see the altitude profile:

Nice break in Ravensburg.

As you can see, the promised sunshine didn’t come, and therefore the temperatures remained fairly low. We seem to be getting used to that now.

As we are no longer following an official bike route we have been on proper, partially fairly big roads quite a lot. I had almost forgotten what it is like struggling up a hill with lorries thundering past while not leaving enough distance when overtaking. No pictures of that, too dangerous.

We arrived in Bad Wurzach to have a well deserved hot chocolate break and realised, that we probably couldn’t get to the next place with hotels in daylight, so we are staying in the Kurhotel here. We have direct access to their spa area, so I treated myself to one of the treatments on offer, very relaxing.
